Fat Smash Diet
Ninety days on a diet could change your life. That’s the goal of the Fat Smash Diet. This diet made it’s debut on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and helped many overweight celebs transform their lives. The four phase diet includes a detox, lots of exercise, healthier food choices and significantly fewer calories. The Fat Smash approach is easy to follow and easy to maintain, because according to it’s founder, Ian K. Smith MD, it’s realistic.  This low calorie option is less of a quick-fix plan and more of an overall lifestyle change.

HCG Diet
The hCG diet is one of the most untraditional diets around.  The basis of the diet lies in the injections (or serum drops under the tongue) of hCG (human chronic  gonadotropin) designed to curb your appetite and transform fat into on as little as 500, 1200 or 1500 calorie per day diet.  Although your appetite is curbed, you’re also required to eat properly while on the diet, (organic and unprocessed foods). This diet claims that within 45 days you’ll lose several pounds, each day.      

Jenny Craig
Jenny Craig is one of the most widely recognized weight loss programs in the U.S. and Canada. This is a calorie based meal delivery plan includes 28 days worth of food delivered to your home (or if dieters are close to a Jenny Craig diet center they can pick up the food). Along with consume low-calorie pre-packaged meals, dieters are required to incorporate fresh fruit and vegetables into their diet for added nutrients. Dieters are allowed to enjoy the occasional splurge treat (to make the diet easier to sustain) and have access to 24 hour diet counseling.

I Love This Diet
I Love This Diet is a low calorie diet meal plan that shows dieters a nutritionally correct way to shed pounds by eating frozen entrees from Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice and Weight Watchers Smart Ones, along with Progresso Soups.  In addition to consuming frozen meals, dieters are required to incorporate fruits, vegetables and daily dairy servings. I Love This Diet allows a daily 100 calorie indulgence. Dieters are assigned one of four calorie levels of between 1300 and 1600 calories per day, based on their current weight. As they lose weight, their calorie level changes accordingly.  

Mayo Clinic Diet
The authentic Mayo Clinic Diet, as put out by the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, is a scientifically developed diet that is based upon calorie control (1200 - 1800 calorie per day plans). This diet requires you to plan meals that are in accordance with the clinic’s Healthy Weight Pyramid (similar to the U.S. government Food Pyramid).  The Pyramid is a guide telling you how many servings from each of the food groups you must consume in order to reach your calorie goal. Along with adhering to the Pyramid, the Mayo Clinic diet requires physical activity. The initial two weeks of the plan are designed to help dieters shed 6 - 10 pounds, safely.  This diet will require you to adopt a healthier lifestyle in phase two, dubbed “Live It!” You’ll lose 1 -2 pounds a week.

Medifast Diet
Eat six times (800 - 1500 cals) a day including Medifast meal replacements, which are soy and whey protein based.

A 32-day diet plan based consuming high amounts of antioxidants, 1,200 calories and incorporates a four-day cleanse.
