Nutrisystem Day 9 - Better than Bulimia
Today's Nutrisystem Tips:

And now, here are the details of my 9th day on NS...
What I Weighed Today: 202 lbs. (8am)
Today I concentrated on really spreading my food out. I would eat one component of a meal, wait an hour, then eat the next thing. I found that my energy was a bit better. But I definitely could tell when it was time to eat something else because I would start to fade. As soon as a few bites of food were in, I would start to even out. This is a little nutty to me since I used to not eat until 1 p.m. sometimes before I started this plan. After a huge cup of creamy sugary coffee, I can honestly say that I didn’t feel funny till 12:30 or 1 p.m. I would sometimes get hungry and snack on Sun Chips or Smart Food Popcorn but never because I felt woozy, it was always because I was hungry…or bored. Then I would eat a nice big lunch and would feel just fine the rest of the day. I am assuming that the extra fat and sugar kept me going until lunch and then the dinner would spend the rest of the night and probably part of the morning digesting LOL.
I don’t know but I’m pretty sure I haven’t been on a diet this restrictive since my high-school-part-time-bulimic years. I was pretty nuts with food in high school and into my early 20s. There was the Apple-A-Day diet, which consisted of cutting an apple into 4 parts in the morning and then challenging myself to see if I could make it to the end of the day and throw the 4th piece out after having consumed the other 3 pieces as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then there was the Box-of-Laxatives a day diet, which consisted of eating as though I were ‘dieting’ but taking a ½ box of Correctol in the morning and the rest of the box at night. This diet was ended when my mother found about 60 empty boxes in the trash one day.
What I Ate Today:
Breakfast: NS Vegetable Frittata Strata, 1 oz. Low-Fat String Cheese, 4 cups Coffee w/8 tablespoons Fat-Free Creamer & 4 tablespoons Sugar-Free Hazelnut syrup – 290 calories
Lunch: NS Cheese Tortellini, 2 oz. Low-Fat Cheddar Cheese, 2 cups Baby Carrots – 340 calories
Snack: 1 apple, 1 nonfat Yogurt – 135.1 calories
Dinner: NS Zesty Cajun Style Chicken & Sausage with Brown Rice, 3 cups Mixed Steamed Vegetables, 2 tablespoons Light I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Butter , 1oz. Low-Fat String Cheese – 536.8 calories
Dessert: Frozen Fruit Cup - Ruby Red Grapefruit – 140 calories
TOTAL CALORIES: 1441.9
Walking, 25 minutes
After I moved out of my mother’s house I moved to the syrup of Ipecac diet. This diet was more sporadic and consisted of occasional binges followed by a big dose of Ipecac to get me to throw it all back up. This diet didn’t work as well and I ditched it when I heard that barfing ruins your teeth. To this day I can’t eat Hot Bacon Dressing because the smell of it reminds me of Ipecac. I told you all that so you would understand why I thought, at 41 years old, I could live on 1,200 calories a day. Discipline, turns out, is relative and much like your taste buds, it apparently changes every 7 years. I used to LOVE feeling deprived and a little sick. It told me I was “trying” hard enough. Now it just seems stupid. I love the results I’m getting but I will be damned if I’m going to live in Crazy Town just to be thin. I know it can be done in other ways and I am still a bad enough bitch to make it happen, MY WAY!...with a little help from some other people’s cooking. * tee hee *

WTF? This is just crap and I can’t be kind about it. The 2nd go-round was worse than the first.
* NS Cheese Tortellini – 150 calories
WTF? Tried adding low-fat cheese and this still was just gross to me AND it gave me wicked incurable acid reflux. If I ever go postal, it will be at the NutriSystem kitchens.
* NS Zesty Cajun Style Chicken & Sausage with Brown Rice – 250 calories
YUM! Thank God!! Something edible today. I did need to add a little salt but otherwise this was well seasoned and there was more of it than the red beans and rice. I am assuming that is because it is a dinner entrée and because without the beans you can add more volume.
