Today's Nutrisystem Tips:

And now, here are the details of my 26th day on the wonderful Nutrisystem diet plan...

What I Weighed Today: 198.5 lbs. (8am)

198-point-mother-f*cking-5!!! YES!! Maybe all that ugly stress I unleashed on that woman yesterday was weighing me down!! Who knew the C-word could weigh so much but it must because I dumped it on that woman like 50 times yesterday!

Today was special. A couple of friends of mine had bought tickets to see Aretha Franklin at the Hollywood Bowl.

I knew that I would not be able to eat Nutrisystem food so I was very careful. I had promised to buy a picnic dinner for us to do my part for the evening so we stopped at Whole Foods and picked up food. They bought chips and fat, juicy sandwiches. I bought a salad, jicama and fruit for snacking.

I must admit that I did have two samples of bacon cheddar cheese while I was in the store.  I had never seen this miracle food before and I just couldn’t resist.  It was AMAZING!! Delicious cheddar cheese with bacon all through it. You have not idea how awesome it was. I could have eaten the entire plate and in the old days I would have bought a whole hunk of it and got naked with it at home by myself.  But I walked out with my healthy low-fat fare and prayed I had been careful enough that this little slip would not show up on the scale the next day.

What I Ate Today:
Breakfast: NS Blueberry Muffin, 1 oz. Low-Fat String Cheese, 4 cups Coffee w/10 tablespoons Sugar-Free Hazelnut Creamer – 320 calories
Lunch: NS Red Beans and Rice with Sausage, 1 cup Baby Carrots, 2.5 cup Cucumbers – 244 calories
Snack: 1 oz. Low-Fat String Cheese, 1 Apple – 105.1 calories
Dinner: Whole Foods Chinese Chicken Salad (without the fried crispies), 3 Figs, ¼ cup Jicama, 1 oz. Bacon-Cheddar Cheese, ½ Mango  – 592 calories
Dessert: None – 0 calories

TOTAL CALORIES: 1261.1

EXERCISE:
None

Aretha was the divine diva she was born to be and I was entranced the entire time by her. She is a large woman who just seems to be so comfortable in her own skin. She seems to know her worth and in case she forgets, there are plenty of people standing by to tell her she is a jewel.

Halle Berry came out onto the stage and got on her knees in front of Aretha bowing up and down, paying homage to the queen. Jesse Jackson, Angela Bassett, and Billy D. Williams were all in the audience. At one point Aretha talked about the tightness of her gown and somehow made it the gown’s fault.  You know you are a woman of substance when you can blame your clothes for the size of your body.  I wish I could do this, but instead I'll join Halle in bowing down to this goddess.
