The Fat Loss for Idiots Diet (formerly Weight Loss for Idiots) is an internet based diet program that generates an 11 day diet menu based off your favorite food selections in their Diet Generator. The 11 day period is followed by a three day "vacation" from the diet, before the next 11 day period of the diet begins.

There are no portion restrictions or calorie limits. You are instructed to eat until you are almost full, but not stuffed. Fat Loss 4 Idiots is neither a low carb nor a low fat diet.

The theory behind this diet is calorie cycling and varying your food intake, which boosts your metabolism. The diet plan also implicitly relies on food combinations that to cause you to feel full faster during meals so you naturally eat less.

How Fat Loss 4 Idiots Works

Calorie cycling (also called “calorie shifting”) is an approach to eating that is intended to prevent weight or fat loss plateaus by “tricking” your metabolism. The theory of Fat Loss 4 Idiots is that your body is always trying to find a set point to burn the number of calories that you feed it each day. The Fat Loss 4 Idiots plan changes the amounts and type of calories that you eat from day to day, which in theory, keeps your metabolism revved up.


The Diet Generator

The online Diet Generator creates a personalized meal plan (including desserts) based on your favorite foods, which covers all meals for 11 days. After that, you're required to take three days off (a vacation from dieting), and then you can continue with the diet by using the Diet Generator to create a new 11 day menu.

There is no limit on the number of 11 day meal plans you may generate over time.

The 11 Day Diet Menu

Your 11 day diet menu is based on a cycle of 11 days where you follow a structured set of food guidelines, and then you are allowed three cheat days of "whatever" eating. You can then start the cycle again, and repeat until you've reached your desired weight goal.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots Cost

There are two package options. Package One is the basic Fat Loss for Idiots package, which includes lifetime use of the Online Diet Generator and the instructional handbook for $39. Package Two adds an additional diet plan option called “Beyond Calories” for an additional $17 dollars. Each package is a one-time charge and there are no further recurring costs.


The Procedure after you Buy

Once you purchase Fat Loss for Idiots, you are given a link to a log in page where you will choose a user name and password. After clicking “Start Diet” there will be two columns of food choices. You must select between seven and fifteen foods from each column for a total of up to 30 food choices maximum. After selecting your food items you will click "submit" and your 11 day diet menu will be generated instantly.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots for Vegetarians

Fat Loss 4 Idiots has a special section for vegetarians in the Diet Control Panel. You will go through the same process of selecting food items, but the choices will be meat-free.

How often will I be eating?

You are allowed to eat four meals a day with a minimum of 2 ½ hours between each meal. You can eat the four meals each day in any order (for example, you can eat Meal #4 first and Meal #2 last, if you'd prefer). Preparation and cooking instructions are listed at the bottom of your 11 day diet menu.

Can I drink diet soda on Fat Loss 4 Idiots?

You are allowed to drink any diet soda, unsweetened ice tea with lemon, coffee (must have less than 10 calories per glass), water and any low calorie drink with less than 10 calories per glass. There is no limit to how many drinks you can have in a day.

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Cheat Days

After the 11 day menu on the Fat Loss 4 Idiots plan you are allowed three consecutive “cheat days” to enjoy any food without limitations before starting your next 11 day cycle.

Can I dine out on the Fat Loss 4 Idiots plan?

It's easiest to eat out on your “cheat” days. If you must eat out on a non-cheat day, your "vegetable day" is a good possibility. Just make sure to order a garden salad (dressing on the side.) Eating out on other days is possible too, but you will have to that you eat only the foods allowed to you in one of the meals you've been given for that day that you  you are given or if you eat out on a vegetable day order a garden salad with dressing on the side.
