Weight Fluctuations Are Okay
No Weight Loss Program Is A Breezy Downhill Slope
It’s perfectly normal for the body to go through adjustment periods on Atkins (unless you’re Heidi Klum on the “I just had a baby and can’t keep the pounds from flying off- thanks, super mutant German genes!” diet).
On Atkins it isn’t uncommon to see a loss, than a gain, followed by another loss. Don’t use daily weight fluctuations as an indication of progress. You also may find that your weight loss slows after the first two weeks, which isn’t uncommon on the program. If you weigh yourself daily, use those numbers to calculate your average weight at the end of the week by adding each daily weight together and dividing the total by the number of days.
