If you have a modest weight loss goal (less than 20 pounds) and start losing weight quickly, it’s important to advance to the next phases so that you can establish the good eating habits that will become a permanent part of your lifestyle.
Try and keep your spirits up if you discover that despite your best efforts your body clings to fat the way a pit bull clings to a bone. Remember, you’re goal is long-term success, so although losing weight slowly may be frustrating, if you stick it out through the plateaus you’ll eventually shed those stubborn pounds.
