Eat Slow to Eat Smarter
Chew Slowly to Slim Down
Yes, many of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones meals are yummy, but slow down!
Because Smart Ones portions are small, it’s easy to plow through them and still be left pining for more. Prolong your enjoyment and make your Smart Ones meals more satisfying by setting down your fork between bites and chewing your food thoroughly.
Many people eat too quickly to recognize their body’s fullness (satiety) signals. It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to fully process the info it gets from the stomach as food fills it up. The bottom line is if you eat fast, you’ll tend to eat more. Even if you’re momentarily strong enough to limit yourself to what’s in your pre-portioned plate or frozen dinner, it’s still bad because it means you’ll leave the table hungry, which will chip away at your resolve to stick to your weight loss plan.
