Nutrisystem Day 11 - Sex as Exercise

Today's Nutrisystem Tips:

Vigorous sex can count as a cardio workout.

And now, here are the details of my 11th day on NS...

What I Weighed Today: 201 lbs. (8am)

As you have probably noticed...I’m having sex. Now let’s get one thing straight here: I am having sex as a means to an end. This guy is really not that into me but he likes having sex with me so I am being exceedingly nice to him ("nice" is a relative term but I am holding my tongue-figuratively-in order to keep the peace). I need him to stay active with me until one of two things happens:

1.    I finish this experiment (a year)
2.    I find another acceptable sex partner to take his place

I can not do this without regular sex.

Couple of reasons:

1.    Evening is the worst time for me diet-wise so I need a distraction
2.    The extra exercise is great
3.    Getting naked in front of someone on a regular basis is an EXCELLENT incentive to stay in shape

Look folks, I either have a satisfying love life or a satisfying sex life but I never have both at the same time, hence the fact that I am 41 years old and have never been married or even lived with a man.

Living with that reality is all fine and dandy when you can comfort yourself with all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ.   But when you are down to a couple of thousand calories a day you start re-examining the other areas of your life that are not being fulfilled. I don’t have a lot of faith in filling the love spot so I might as well service the G-spot.

I find myself looking at sex as a way to get in a little extra stretching and aerobic activity. This guy I am hooking up with is a marathoner, too.  He just keeps going and going!  It’s exhausting but rather addictive. After he leaves I do have the desire to eat something yummy (like chips or black licorice) before I fall off to sleep but since I don’t keep anything like that in the house anymore, it’s easy to resist.

What I Ate Today:
Breakfast: NS Apple Strudel Scone, 1 oz. Low-Fat String Cheese, 1 nectarine, 4 cups Coffee w/8 tablespoons Fat-Free Creamer & 4 tablespoons Sugar-Free Hazelnut syrup – 370.7 calories
Lunch: NS Pasta with Beef, 1oz. Low-Fat String Cheese, 3 cups Baby Carrots, 1oz. Low-Fat Lunch Meat – 375 calories
Snack: 1 apple, 1 Non-fat Yogurt – 135.1 calories
Dinner: NS Mashed Potatoes with Meatloaf & Tomato Sauce, 3 cups Mixed Steamed Vegetables, 2 tablespoons Light I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Butter  – 485.8 calories
Dessert: NS Honey Mustard Pretzel Sticks, Frozen Fruit Cup - Ruby Red Grapefruit  – 260 calories

TOTAL CALORIES: 1626.6

EXERCISE:
Sexual Activity, 20 minutes

There’s one more thing that needs to be made clear about this situation.  The fact that he’s really only in this for sex is not a tragedy.  In fact, with the goal I have ahead of me it is for the best that I keep this on a physical level. The minute my heart gets involved we run the risk that I will get hurt, and when I get hurt, I get hungry.  REALLY HUNGRY!! So let’s just hope I can keep my wits about me and my eyes on the prize.

Product Reviews:
* NS Apple Strudel Scone  – 140 calories
WTF? Still Barf-a-licious.
* NS Pasta with Beef  – 150 calories
WTF? More barf. Glad this is my last container of this crap.
* NS Mashed Potatoes with Meatloaf & Tomato Sauce – 250 calories
YUM! Well alrighty!! Glad I get one tasty meal today.  Sweet. Tangy. Meaty.  The potatoes were beige, which threw me off but they tasted really good, so who gives a rat’s ass about color.  The serving was teeny, but I’ve learned to expect that of the things that actually taste good.
* NS Honey Mustard Pretzel Sticks – 140 calories
WTF? Still tastes like old underwear. Someone should be beaten for this travesty.
