South Beach Diet Phase 2 Complete Menu

I created a document that lists the complete menu plan for South Beach Phase 2 (click to download). For a long time, I referred to it frequently...and mixed and matched meals. However, I found it difficult to lose weight on Phase 2. Dr. Agatston says that if you are hungry to eat more food. But, that just didn’t work for me!  I think the reason is that it’s very easy to simply consume too much food unless you are somehow measuring the total amount of food that you eat.  It’s especially easy to eat too many nuts or sunflower seeds, since those foods are high in calories.  That was undermining my weight loss efforts.   

Happily, I did not gain weight while following Phase 2 and eating as much of the foods that it allows as I wanted. So, I feel strongly that living the South Beach way is a life long solution for me.

What I do now in order to continue my weight loss journey is to follow the South Beach way of eating along with counting calories.  I try to keep my daily calories between 1200 - 1400 per day.  And I am again losing about 1 pound per week.  Yeah!
