It is preferable to have a cup of tea instead of water in order to replace lost fluids, in addition to other health benefits. The Nutrition Specialist Dr. Carrie Ruxton said, in the research that was published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, that drinking tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants, while water replaces fluids only.
